Sergei Tartykov Skating Sessions in NOHA
Tuesday, October 2, 2012
The NOHA is pleased to announce that Sergei Tartykov, former Russian National Team figure skater and Skating Instructor for the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, will be joining us again in Northern Ontario to offer special Skating Sessions for Coaches in the NOHA the weekend of October 19-21, 2012.
After four very successful sessions in Sudbury, North Bay, New Liskeard and Timmins last year where approximately 100 Coaches took part, we will be hosting this year’s Seminars in Sault Ste. Marie, Blind River, Little Current and Rayside Balfour as participants will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best skating instructors in the world.
The weekend schedule is listed below.
Friday, October 19, 2012
5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Sault College – Sault Ste. Marie
Saturday, October 20, 2012
8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Blind River Arena – Blind River
3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. NEMI Recreation Centre – Little Current
Sunday, October 21, 2012
8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Dr. Edgar Leclair Centre - Azilda
Participants will take in 60-90 minutes of classroom instruction in which Sergei will review and explain the skills to be performed on the ice. Coaches will then have an hour on the ice with Sergei to perform the skills themselves, after which players will come out on the ice and the participating Coaches will teach the players. Coaches who have a child registered with the NOHA may bring them out for the ice session.
The registration fee for Coaches is $45.00 + HST, which includes on and off-ice instruction from Sergei, and a copy of the drills to be performed on the ice. A maximum of 30 Coaches per session will be accepted.
To register, please visit the NOHA website – www.noha.on.ca – and access our Coaching Clinics page. The seminars will be listed on the online clinic registration site as Specialty Skills – SKATING. Registration will be confirmed upon completion of payment of the EHockey online registration system.
