Date: Dec, 12, 2017 12:00 PM EDT
The Ontario Hockey Federation is seeking feedback and perspectives from parents of registered players who are six-years-old and under (2011's and under) on two topics: Spring Tryouts and Select Hockey. These will be held via video conference call later this week and require prospective participants to register.
Spring Tryouts - Thursday, December 14, 2017 7:00 p.m.
In recognition of the upcoming mandate from Hockey Canada (by 2019-2020, all players 8-years-old and under will be participating in modified-ice programming), the OHF is seeking input as it relates to the seasonal structure for Novice Hockey and below. This focus group will be specifically on Spring Tryouts for the purposes of representative level hockey.

Select Hockey - Friday, December 14, 2017 @ 7:00 p.m.
As defined by the OHF, Select Hockey is "A category of minor hockey which in order to be eligible, a Player must be registered with a recognized (sanctioned) House League organization and accordingly be an active participant in the corresponding age grouping (division) in a recognized (sanctioned) schedule of House League Programming. Select Hockey Players are not required to abide by residential regulations unless otherwise indicated by the Member.”
The aim of this focus group is to gather feedback on Select Hockey as it relates to Hockey Canada's upcoming mandate for the 2019-2020 season, that all players 8-years-old and under will participate in modified-ice programming.
