OHF and OMHA Offering Two Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camps in 2020
Date: Feb, 20, 2020 12:00 PM EDT
The Ontario Hockey Federation and Ontario Minor Hockey Association are proud to once again be offering two Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camps in 2020. Over the past 6 years, Hockey Canada has led the way, in partnership with the OHF and OMHA, to provide a multi-sport summer camp that offers children from U8 to U13 the opportunity to learn skills from both Hockey Canada and other National and Provincial Sports Organizations.
Open to all registered U9 (Novice and Minor Novice), U11 (Atom and Minor Atom) and U13 (PeeWee and Minor PeeWee) hockey players, campers will take part in a variety of hockey and sport related activities throughout the span of a week. Each day will consist of two on-ice sessions focusing on individual skill development, skating, shooting, passing, stick handling and much more. In addition to the two on-ice sessions, players will take part in multiple off-ice sessions. As programming in the OHF empowers youth to be multi-sport athletes, off-ice sessions will see other National and Provincial Sport Organizations deliver programming for the duration of the camp, with each day focusing on a different theme and guest. In prior years, organizations such as Rugby Ontario, Baseball Canada, Ontario Volleyball Association, Ultimate Canada, Spikeball, Basketball Canada, Ontario Soccer Association and the Golf Association of Ontario have all contributed to the continued success of Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camps.
The Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camp will return to Seguin this year and run from Monday July 20 -24. Additionally, the Hockey Canada Multi-Sport Summer Camp is excited to launch a new location in Middlesex Centre, held in partnership with the Ilderton Jets Minor Hockey Association, and will run out of the Komoka Wellness Centre from August 17-21.
