Brad Upton wins the 2019-2020 Officiating Program Award

Brad Upton is a long-time and valued participant in the sport of hockey with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, Ontario Hockey Federation and Hockey Canada Officiating Program. Upton has been involved in hockey for 25 years and has been an active official for 20 years with the OHA.

Brad has represented the OMHA at the Branch Level and the OHF at the National Level and has been a long-time contributor to the Officiating Program in his home Region.

Upton has also served on the OMHA Officiating Program Committee and is currently Chair of the Membership Committee.


Brad's leadership and expertise have helped in the development of ice officials in OMHA. He is also an Active HCOP Clinic Facilitator, Speak Out Facilitator, Active member of the OMHA Referee Technical Committee, Liaison for the OMHA ETA, and is the current playdown assignor for this league And Manages the OMHA AAA Minor Midget Showcase.

This award recognizes individuals actively involved in the officiating program for their contribution to the game, for their officiating skills and for what they put back into amateur hockey within the Branch.
