The OHF is inviting applications for the role of Manager, Communications & Marketing Technology. This position will involve working with other staff, volunteers, Hockey Canada, and its seven Member Partners. It will be located at the OHF office in Cambridge, Ontario and the salary range is $40,000 - $63,000 per year, plus benefits.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • innovate and manage marketing technology including OHF and subsidiary websites, social media accounts (U16, Championships etc.), and digital assets
  • innovate and create an effective social media strategy
  • management and modernization of the OHF brand
  • innovate and create the internal communications and OHF Intranet strategy
  • develop and oversee the yearly communication plan
  • creation, production and distribution of digital content, approved publications, media releases and bulletins
  • coordinate creation, production, and delivery of By-Laws, Regulation and Playing Rules, AGM materials, Awards materials and other communication pieces in alignment with the OHF Brand
  • develop and deliver advertisement artwork for external publications
  • fulfillment of sponsorship activations
  • manage media (i.e. press conference, releases, requests, media attendance etc.)
  • management of the OHF Scholarship and Awards programs
  • other duties or tasks as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director or Board.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate for the position shall possess the following:

  • experience within a volunteer-based sports organization and postgraduate education in Communications, Business or Sport Administration
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • strong computer skills and significant experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc.), and website maintenance
  • ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • time management, organization, multi-tasking, coordination, self-motivation, confidence, and a positive attitude
  • an understanding of the structure of the OHF within Ontario, its programs, events, and services.
