Date: Mar, 09, 2021 12:00 PM EDT

As part of its ongoing commitment towards coaching education, the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) will be hosting a virtual Goaltending 1 clinic on Saturday, March 6th. The start time is 8:30 am.

This program is for coaches who teach hockey skills to players of all ages in a progressive manner; by building from skills to individual tactics.

The session will include a review of the following topics:

  • skating
  • stance (athletic position, balance)
  • moving skills (C-Cut, T-Push, shuffle & pivot)
  • positioning (angles, square, depth)
  • save selection (basic saves)
  • basic puck control (rebound and recovery)
  • puck handling

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions post-training.

The cost is $25.00. Registrants will receive a Zoom meeting link before the clinic date.

A short post-task will be required. All resources will be available via an online folder. Upon successful completion, attendees will receive a Goaltending Level 1 credit - which includes five PD points.

The deadline to register is 4 pm on Friday, March 5th.
