True Northern Hockey, Built on Community

The District of Temiskaming is the definition of authentic hockey country. Made up of close-knit towns, lakeside communities, and proud rural roots, this is a region where hockey has always been more than a sport — it’s part of daily life.

Surrounded by lakes, rivers, trails, beaches, museums, and historic landmarks, Temiskaming Shores offers visitors a chance to slow down, explore, and experience Northern Ontario hospitality at its best. From the shores of Lake Temiskaming to local attractions like Pete’s Dam, mining tours, scenic walking and biking paths, and the World’s Shortest Covered Bridge, families quickly discover that this is a place worth visiting — and returning to.

When teams arrive here, they’re welcomed not as visitors, but as guests.
