2026 OHF Awards Program Now Accepting Nominations

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 OHF Awards Program, recognizing outstanding individuals and organizations who continue to shape, strengthen, and grow amateur hockey across Ontario.

Following the success of the 2025 OHF Awards Gala, the OHF has introduced an updated nomination process and timeline for 2026. Nominations will now be accepted through direct application submissions, improving accessibility, consistency, and efficiency for Members and stakeholders across the province.

2026 OHF Awards Categories

Nominations are currently being accepted for the following awards:

  • Bill Richmond Memorial Award

    Presented for outstanding achievement in the development of amateur hockey within the Branch.

  • Dr. Allan Morris Award

    Honours an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the OHF and its mission. Formerly known as the Past Presidents’ Honour Award, it was renamed in 2009 in honour of Dr. Allan Morris, whose leadership and impact extended provincially and nationally.

  • Officiating Program Award

    Recognizes individuals actively involved in officiating for their skill, leadership, and contributions to the development of officials within the Branch.

  • Order of Merit Award

    Honours long-serving individuals who have made significant contributions to amateur hockey as a player, coach, and/or association member.

  • John Gardner Staff Award

    Presented annually to a staff member who exemplifies the values and objectives of the OHF through professionalism, teamwork, pride, and commitment to the betterment of the game.

  • Volunteer of the Year Award

    Recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding commitment and made a significant contribution to the hockey community within the OHF during the award year.

  • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Hockey Award

    Honours an Association and/or individual (player, coach, or administrator) for advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within hockey.

  • Woman in Hockey Award

    The Woman in Hockey Award The Award honours a woman for their exceptional contribution to the promotion and advancement of hockey within the OHF
