Hockey Canada's Assist Fund Applications Open for the 2026-27 Hockey Season
Date: Aug, 07, 2026 02:00 PM EDT
Applications are open for the Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund, which helps remove financial barriers so more children can experience the friendships, confidence and joy that hockey can bring.
For the 2026-27 season, eligible families can apply for up to $500 per player to help cover registration fees with a Hockey Canada-sanctioned association.
Who is eligible for the Assist Fund?
Financial eligibility is based on Statistics Canada’s Low Income Cut-Off guidelines. Applicants must also be registering a child with a Hockey Canada-sanctioned association for the 2026-27 season.
Families are encouraged to review the complete eligibility requirements before applying.
When should families apply?
Applications opened on August 1, 2026, and will be accepted until the available $1.3 million in funding has been fully allocated. Families who may qualify are encouraged to apply.
