OHF/OHL U15 Program of Excellence
The OHF/OHL U15 Program of Excellence is a development experience designed to educate and inform players and parents. The goals of the program include: to introduce players, families and staff to high performance hockey, the Program of Excellence and the Ontario Hockey League; to create a unique and special life and hockey experience for all players and staff involved; and to develop players and staff both on and off the ice. Players will participate in intense, high performance on and off ice sessions and seminars. On-ice sessions will be run by Hockey Canada and OHL personnel and will include practices that focus on individual skill, team tactics, small area games, and position specific.
The program is open to all male players who are born in 2011 and were registered to a team within the OHF for the 2025-2026 season. Priority will be given to players competing at the AAA level. Each program will consist of 84 players (48 forwards, 24 Def & 12 Goaltenders)
Program Highlights & Value
The $300 registration fee provides each participant with a complete three-day high-performance experience, supported by Hockey Canada and the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The program is structured to deliver professional-level training and education at a fraction of the cost of comparable development opportunities.
Each camp includes:
-
Five On-Ice Sessions — Three high-intensity practices and two competitive games, led by Hockey Canada Certified Skills Coaches and OHL development staff.
-
Off-Ice Seminars — Interactive sessions focused on sports psychology, mental health, nutrition, and performance preparation, delivered by experts in their fields.
-
Team Environment — Participants are assigned to a team for the duration of the weekend, allowing players to develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
-
Coach Mentorship — Volunteer coaches work directly with Hockey Canada Instructors, gaining insight into elite development techniques and practice design.
-
Player Evaluations & Feedback — Players receive performance feedback and guidance to support their ongoing growth within the high-performance hockey pathway.
The Program of Excellence is not a traditional camp—it is a recognized entry point into Canada’s elite development system, offering players a rare opportunity to experience the structure, professionalism, and expectations found at the OHL and Hockey Canada levels.
Through a combination of expert instruction, national-level resources, and on-ice competition, participants leave with a deeper understanding of what it takes to excel both as a hockey player and as a person.
