This week, Oakville, Ontario played host to some of the top 2007-born hockey talent in the country, as Hockey Canada held its 2025 National Under-18 Men’s Team Summer Development Camp from July 26–31 at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.

The six-day camp brought together 45 of the nation’s best U18 players, including 19 skaters from the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), as part of the evaluation process for Canada’s 2026 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship roster.

Players were guided through high-performance practices, off-ice training sessions, and intra-squad games led by Hockey Canada’s national team staff.

The camp focused on core fundamentals like pace, detail, and decision-making under pressure, all within a highly competitive environment designed to reflect the international stage.

For many athletes, this camp marks the beginning of their journey toward representing Canada in IIHF competition, with continued evaluations taking place throughout the 2025–2026 season.
